ELECTION NOTICE
All Santee Sioux Nation tribal members who are at least 18 years of age on the day of the Secretarial Election and who have been residing on the Santee Reservation at least six (6) months prior to November 3, 2015, are hereby notified that a Secretarial Election will be held on November 3, 2015
This notice is being mailed to all Santee Sioux Nation tribal members who live on the Santee Reservation and are least 18 years of age by November 3, 2015, at the address listed on the current tribal membership roll provided by the Tribe. Enclosed is a Voter Registration Form with a self-addressed envelope. The Voter Registration Form must be returned to the Chairman of Secretarial Election Board. Any member who does not receive such a form by mail should request one from the following:

REGISTRATION FORMS MUST BE RECEIVED BY THE CHAIRMAN OF THE SECRETARIAL ELECTION BOARD AT THE
BIA-WINNEBAGO AGENCY OFFICE NO LATER THAN 4:30 P.M. (CST), ON TUESDAY, OCTOBER 13, 2015
Only those Santee Sioux Nation tribal members who are at least 18 years of age on November 3, 2015, and who have resided on the Santee Reservation at least six (6) months prior to November 3, 2015, and who have registered to vote with the Secretarial Election Board will be entitled to vote.
This Secretarial Election will be conducted in-person on the Santee Reservation at the Oyate Oyanke Community Center polling site. The polls will be open at 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Voting is also permitted by absentee ballot; however, only those qualified Santee Sioux Nation tribal members who registered to vote may request an absentee ballot. AbsenteeBallots must be completed and returned to the BIA, Winnebago Agency, in the envelope providedno later than 12:00 p.m. (CST), Tuesday, November 3, 2015, to be counted as a vote.
The results of the election will be posted at the Santee Sioux Nation Headquarters in Santee, Nebraska and at the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Winnebago Agency in Winnebago, Nebraska.
